Sue Ross Legal are working with a well-established, successful Law firm based in Sheffield city centre for the recruitment of a Legal Advisor. You will be working as part of the Private Client department and joining their expanding Pre-Death/Lifetime Planning division.

The work involves face to face contact with the firm’s clients to take instructions and advise in relation to Wills, Powers of Attorney and Trusts.

The successful applicants will be responsible for their own caseloads, face to face meetings with clients, dealing with telephone and other communication and drafting and relevant reporting.

In addition to gaining technical expertise, the successful candidate will be keen to promote the reputation of the firm through building lasting client relationships and business development.

Duties will include;

  • Attending appointments with new and existing clients to take instructions and advise in relation to Wills, Powers of Attorney and Trusts.
  • Providing advice and information to clients in person, and over the telephone.
  • Where appropriate, advising clients of the benefits of Lasting Power of Attorneys and taking instructions accordingly.
  • Preparing and drafting Wills and LPAs.
  • Completing all administration relating to Wills.
  • Working to set targets, both in respect of fee income, recording of chargeable hours and credit and disbursement control.

To be considered for this role it is essential that you have a full driving licence and your own car as out of office appointments/visits to clients may occur on a regular basis. It would be advantageous if you have a working knowledge of Wills and LPAs, however this is not essential. Full training will be provided for those who have a Law Degree, and the desire to specialise within this niche area.
