Criminal Solicitor

Sue Ross Legal are working with a regional law firm who are looking to recruit a Criminal Solicitor into their Barnsley office.

You will be joining a friendly and welcoming team within a long established firm with duties including;

• Handling all aspects of work from police station attendances, Magistrates Court advocacy and Crown Court litigation
• Handling a caseload of work within the Magistrates Court
• Attending clients at police stations
• Providing advice and advocacy within the Magistrates Court
• Acting as Litigator on Crown Court cases
• Applying for Legal Aid
• Servicing your Duty Solicitor Rotas

To be considered for this role it is essential you have the following;

• Qualified Criminal Solicitor with current practicing certificate – 2 years PQE+*
• Duty Solicitor status
• Advocacy experience at Magistrates Court dealing with GAP/NGAP/Trials and Youth Court work
