Assistant Conveyancer

Sue Ross Legal are recruiting for an Assistant Conveyancer to join a well-established, regional law firm. You will be joining their successful Residential Conveyancing Department based in Sheffield City Centre with duties and responsibilities including:

• Managing day to day operational duties and proactively progressing the Conveyancing case load
• Providing excellent client service in line with our departmental standards, procedures and guidelines
• Building effective relationships with clients both internally and externally
• Ability to work independently as well as with team members
• Ability to assist in generation of fees
• Managing sale files from start to finish
• Checking mortgage offers
• Checking searches
• Dealing with property matters from exchange to conclusion, maximising fees through efficiency
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to meet KPI’s including number and accuracy of clients and matters opened

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working as an Assistant Conveyancer or similar role or working within a busy Residential Conveyancing Department.
• Ability to input information quickly and accurately.
• Proven customer care skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and multi-task.
• Be a team player but also be confident to work on your own.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Aim Evolution accounting package.
• Knowledge of Mattersphere document management system.
