Senior Immigration Paralegal - Compliance - Sheffield

Sue Ross Legal have been instructed by an international Immigration law firm with the recruitment of a Senior Paralegal for the Compliance team based in Sheffield. 

 

You will be joining the global corporate services team and duties will include;

 

  • Preparing sponsor licence applications under Tier 2, Tier 5 and Tier 4 
  • Working on M&A activity impacting sponsors under the Points Based System 
  • Reviewing and assessing illegal working 
  • Preparing representations to the UKVI in respect of suspension or down-grading of sponsor licences 
  • Attending client site visits to conduct mock Home Office audits 
  • Preparing analysis of audit findings for clients 
  • Accompanying team members to attend actual Home Office audits 
  • Key point of contact for compliance issues 
  • Supporting the team Manager 
  • Ensuring the successful delivery of departmental workloads 
  • Monitoring and allocating team workloads 
  • Liaising with clients 
  • Reporting on team performance 
  • Dealing with team member queries including providing technical information and support 
  • Reviewing work completed by team members 
  • Assisting with client reviews including preparing reports 
  • Providing legal advice 
  • Producing billing and WIP reports for key clients 

 

To be considered for this role it is absolutely essential that you have extensive Immigration experience alongside customer facing experience. You will need to be able to demonstrate a sound technical knowledge of immigration issues including the completion of appropriate documents.
