Sue Ross Legal are recruiting for Costs Drafting candidates at all levels on behalf of a well established, multi site law firm based in Nottingham. This role will see you assisting and acting in all aspects of the recovery of costs.

 

Duties will include;

 

  • Advising on all aspects of costs planning from start to finish 
  • Ensuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency rules and Money Laundering Procedures 
  • Taking instructions from clients 
  • Preparing Bills of Costs for private and Legal Aid files including Claim 1, Claim 2 and Legal Help 
  • Preparing Costs Schedules 
  • Conducting settlement negotiations 
  • Preparing points of dispute and replies 
  • Preparing details advice on costs matters 
  • Assisting with training of new employees 

 

To be considered for this role it is essential that you have worked on and have experience of Legal Aid costs, ideally this would be within Family law but candidates with Legal Aid experience in other disciplines would also be considered. It would be advantageous if you had experience of conducting Advocacy at Assessment Hearings and Preparation of High Cost Case plans but this is not essential.
